Our History
Since the 1830’s through six generations of pearl traders, Aquarian Pearls brings the finest pearl jewellery. Designed to be worn for all occasions by our worldwide clientele.
Our Managing Director, David Norman is the fifth in an unbroken line of family pearl dealers and cultivators. David Norman has devoted his whole life to understanding and working on the process of cultivating and farming pearls, sorting and grading, as well as pearl jewellery design and production, and selling into the pearl markets.
As well as having David’s expertise we have a master jeweller in house; Kate Vivas, who has devoted the last 20 years to creating and making bespoke pearl jewellery.

Aquarian Pearls specialises in supplying the finest quality cultured Australian South Sea Pearls, Tahitian Cultured Pearls and Natural Colour Golden Cultured Pearls. Customers are able to purchase pearls from us in loose form and in strands as well as set, in South Sea Pearl Jewellery.

In our Sydney CBD showroom we have a complete line of ready to wear South Sea Pearl Jewellery, including rings, earrings, bracelets, pendants, enhancers and necklaces. We are able to design and custom make pearl jewellery for all budgets and styles from casual, resort wear to formal and statement pieces. We are very proud to say that our jewellery is hand made here in Australia, with a large portion of Australian South Sea Pearls.
Handcrafted In Sydney
Our pearl jewellery is hand crafted in Sydney. The majority of the jewellery pieces created by Aquarian Pearls are one-off pieces or styles with limited stock. We specialise in creating pearl jewellery that is bespoke and showcases the unique qualities of each pearl we select to make into jewellery. The pearls are selected for their strength of colour, superior lustre, nacre coating and cleanliness of the skin. Only the finest pearls are selected for our bespoke lines of jewellery.
We have a wide selection of classical studs, drop style earrings, rings, pendants, enhancers, bracelets and pearl necklaces.
